Fashion gets fun!! Laid Back Style

December 12, 2006 at 7:21 pm (wants)

One of my new discoveries:

I stopped into the original store on Newbury Street in Boston, and picked up the Panda shirt. Who can resist a Panda with a cupcake. I have more on my wish list to pick up though.

The store is laid out bakery style with the shirts and other merchandise in bakery display cases, and refridgerator cases. Your purchases are wrapped up and place in cute bakery style boxes to carry out.

My other new discovery is the Rugby line from Ralph Lauren. Stores are few and in more metro areas, and sadly you can’t buy the stuff online yet. I saw several things in the skull and cross bones line that I loved. You can also build your own rugby shirt by picking colors, patches etc and having it tailored to your body.

The sales associates are all very well groomed, and trendy looking. Looks likeĀ a fun place to work. Hmmmmm??!!

Another new find, and how do I make perfume?

November 21, 2006 at 1:36 am (wants)

I just came across yet another homemade fragrance company, CB I Hate Perfume

with companies like this, and Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, I need to figure out how to make my own perfumes, and start my own damn business. The prices on this one are a bit more expensive than BPAL, but they offer a custom blended option which is pretty cool. The website is kind of boring, and not very easy to navigate.

Want List: New Fragrances

August 24, 2006 at 11:14 am (wants)

Prada Man Amber Pour Homme – Prada took it’s sensual amber based women’s fragrance and gave it a sexy partner. The amber is still a main note, but now it’s been given a masculine twist with notes of woodsy musks, patchouli, tonka bean, vanilla, leather and sandalwood. Wet this is a very strong masculine scent, but on the dry down it becomes a warm, musky vanilla and amber note.

Versace Man “Eau Fraiche” – A lighter version of Versace Man, with crisp notes of lemon, star fruit, amber, tarragon and sage. It almost has a sunny grapefruit like quality. Defintiely a nice summer fragrance.

Viktor & Rolf Antidote – A rich oriental with notes such as mint leaves, Italian Bergamot, Mandarin and Grapefruit, jasmine, lavendar, nutmeg, cinnamon bark, amber, patchouli and vanilla. A strong mixture of notes. Like nothing else. An antidote for boredom? I think so.

I’m bringing the sweater vest back.

August 23, 2006 at 1:09 pm (wants)

Justine Timberlake can have sexy. I’m bringing the sweater vest back. For over the past year I have been campaigning to bring back the sweater vest, and reclaim it from the tired golfer look.

GQ breaks down how to properly wear a sweater vest in it’s September issue, everything from length to fit, and what best to wear it with. The suggest it’s best with jeans.

So is the sweater vest going to be a popular item for Fall?
