Fall/Winter – Kors nailed it for me
Michael Kors nailed the looks for me for Fall/Winter 07-08. Some oversized knits, greys and metallics, the wide legged pant of light weight wool. It’s perfect from start to finish, suprisingly. I usually find Kors kind of boring from season to season, but this just does it for me.

Men’s Fall/Winter 07-08 Trends
So far the men’s shows have shown a lot of oversized pieces. Large, ill fitting jackets, oversized knits, metallic materials, especially in silver.
The interesting thing about some of the oversized sweaters, is that they are not so much baggy, as they are long in length. Most of the sweaters I’ve seen are hitting about mid thigh. It’s interesting look, a more feminine one as well.
Also, pants are getting baggier, with wider cuffs. It’s done usually in light weight wools, and gives the pants a great flow.
Volume is big for Fall and Winter, which makes these pieces great for layering in cooler climates.
Here is a sampling of a few I’ve really liked.
Oversized knits at J Lindberg
Longer sweater lengths at Burberry
Baggier pants with wide cuffs at Yves Saint Laurent
Oversized blazers/coats at Yves Saint Laurent
Men’s Fall/Winter Shows – Milan
So far I am not impressed with what I have seen from this weeks men’s shows in Milan. Prada has depressed me, so boring. The only surprising one is Etro, the colors are quite nice. McQueen looks like he is doing the designs for V for Vendetta part two.
Here are a few looks I have seen that I do like:
But most of what I’ve seen that I have liked have been from those off the runway, the attendees. These were shot by the Satoriliast:
Hairspray!!
Come on people! I’m so scared to even check it out.

The movie based on the Broadway musical based on the movie comes out this summer. The original John Waters movie is a cult classic, and is pure perfection.
And John Travolta as Edna Turnbladt? It’s going to be a big disgrace. I think Divine is turning over in her grave. Although, I’m kind of excited to see Queen Latifah as Motormouth Maybelle.
